Why do Britons complain about the goverment spending money on immigrants when the cost of Iraq war was more?

Why do indigenous Britons complain so much against government spending on poor immigrants and jobless, when the non-legal, non-moral war against Iraq cost many billions of pounds? We don't hear any complaints against tax payers money being used for the occupations of other nations. Why? Approximately 1.3 million innocent Iraqi civilians have did since last invasion.
