How are God and Santa Claus similar?

How about this, one is the personification of warmth, generosity (and a bit of mischeif) ociated with a single season. The other is the personification of infinity and divinity. Because venal and power hungry people are able to abuse these concepts to try and control others doesn't mean they aren't important archetypes that seem so vital to the human psyche that they repeat in one form or another in almost all cultures from all around the world and throughout history.
