Where else in our explorations have we seen unequal heating that results in convection currents?

I would be hard-pressed to think that venus does not have this to some extent... yes venus is extremely hot everywhere, but it still has an atmosphere and is bound to the same rules as our atmosphere because one half is facing the sun at one time.
